Samsun Laser Treatment for Urinary Incontinence
This non-surgical approach to urinary incontinence uses vaginal laser energy to stimulate the supporting tissue around the urethra.
What is laser incontinence treatment?
Laser urinary incontinence treatment is based on the giving of controlled heat energy through a special header placed inside the vaginal canal. The goal is to increase the support of this region by stimulating collagen production in the front vaginal wall and the connective tissue around the urethra (irra channel).
The practice is not surgery; No incisions, no stitches. Therefore, especially in people who are not surgically fit or do not consider surgery, the type of stress on a mild and moderate level is one of the options that comes up in urinary incontinence.
Who can be evaluated?
The eligibility decision is made only after the examination and tests deemed necessary. It is generally evaluated in the following tables:
Mild to moderate stress type urinary incontinence that occurs during coughing, sneezing, laughing or weight lifting
Feeling of weakening pelvic floor support in the postpartum period
Complaints accompanying thinning in vaginal tissue during menopause
Partial response from pelvic floor exercises, but not surgically considered conditions
In what cases is it not appropriate?
In advanced urinary incontinence, prominent organ sagging, active infection, pregnancy and some tissue diseases, the practice may not be appropriate. The approach is different in incontinence the type of jam (which comes with a sudden and excruciating sense of urine); This distinction must be clarified in the examination.
Laser application does not replace a surgery that is determined to be necessary. This option is also discussed if the severity and cause of the complaint requires surgery.
How to implement it?
The procedure is carried out in the office conditions, in the position of a gynecological examination. Usually no anesthesia is required; Most people describe a warm-up and a slight vibrational sensation. A session lasts from a few minutes to twenty minutes.
Often more than one session is scheduled at intervals of several weeks. The number and range of sessions are determined according to the level of the complaint, tissue response, and examination findings.
Post-application period
Most people return to their daily lives on the same day. In the first days, there may be mild discharge, a feeling of warmth, or tenderness. The recommendations for sexual intercourse, pool, sea and tampon use should be taken into consideration during the time your physician will indicate.
It takes time to evaluate the response; After the sessions are completed, the situation is reviewed.
Expectancy management
In energy-based applications, different responses can be seen from person to person; no permanent and final result can be promised.
The effect of the practice; Maintaining pelvic floor exercises should be assessed in conjunction with control of factors that increase abdominal pressure, such as weight management, constipation and chronic cough.
