In 1999, I graduated at the top of my class from Ünye Anatolian Teacher High School and gained admission to medical school, my first and only choice in the university entrance examination.
I won the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, which was my only choice with a high score in the Specialization Examination in Medicine, and completed my residency at Ankara Etlik Zubeyde Hanım Training and Research Hospital.
Following the mandatory service and private hospital experience, I turned to academic life; I have worked in the fields of female genital aesthetics and reconstruction, urogynecological and female sexual health.
Awards
At the National Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics, I won the Second Best Notice Award.
Research projects
1) Effectiveness of Fetal Adrenal Gland Volume Measurement in Predicting Spontaneous Preterm Birth — research project, principal investigator: Aşkı Ellibeş Kaya. 2) Association of TLR2, TLR4 and TLR7 Gene Expression Levels in the Placental Microbiome with Pregnancy Disorders and Fetal Outcomes — scientific research project supported by Higher Education Institutions, researcher: Aşkı Ellibeş Kaya. Administrative role: In 2017, I served as Head of Department at Düzce University Faculty of Medicine.
Instructorship
Since the fall period of 2015-2016, I have taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses covering the fall and summer semesters. Being with young people has always energized me. I continued to learn while teaching.
